Last August I exhibited at the Wiltshire Game and Country Fair at Bowood House in  Calne, Wiltshire. I was trading under very difficult conditions as the UK was in an extreme heatwave, not great for someone who sells desserts.

Due to the adverse weather conditions the footfall was much lighter than in the previous years. Two people who did pop by my stall though, were Chris and Kara from a local business called Vendor Booking UK, based in Calne. They thought their offering would be perfect for me as they provide an ideal platform for Vendors like me to have a pop-up at 100’s of venues nationwide. They were not wrong!

I am extremely grateful that I met them, as in January this year, I signed up to their free and easy register website. What I really like about VBUK is that they have flexible subscription options with no upfront costs, which was a big selling point for me. 

I wanted to test the water, so I started booking Venues on their Pay-as-you-Go option at just £9 per booking. Within weeks I moved up to their Standard subscription of the £15 monthly fee + £3.50 admin fee per confirmed booking as I was booking so many Venues that it was a no-brainer. I believe that it won’t be too long before I move to their Premium subscription of £37.50 monthly fee, no additional fees for confirmed bookings as I am currently booking at least 2-3 Venues every week, so overall I will be making considerable savings on their costs. 

Their website is extremely user friendly. Simply select the county, category and fees, then click on the search tab which will bring up a number of Venues. You can then select a Venue, three dates of your choice that you are available and send it to the Venue. They will then confirm one of your dates or offer some alternative dates which are more suitable for their diary.

Vendor has given me a completely new target audience where I can pop-up in offices which is ideal for me as I have NO competitors which gives me a much stronger chance of making a profit. I have done several pop-ups in offices now and no doubt I will be trying out some of the other categories they offer such as Hospitals, Hotels, Leisure Centres, Residential Buildings, Retirement Villages, School and Shopping Centres. 

For anyone considering Vendor Booking UK, what I would say is Chris, Kara (Co-Owners) and Arran (General Manager) are really lovely people to deal with and they will go out of their way to help you in any way they can.
